2026MakinaMotoExpo: CFMOTO unveils updated Papio XO-1

2026 MY Papio XO-1 unveiled at Makina Moto Expo

If you grew up in the ’90s, chances are your introduction to motorcycles came through smuggled scooters and mini bikes from Japan through Ilocos. Among the most sought-after was the Honda Monkey, which is a small bike that quickly gained cult status. Decades later, that reputation hasn’t faded. Even today, the Monkey mini bike remains a favorite among collectors, with both vintage units and newer grey imports commanding premium prices.

But for those looking for a more accessible alternative, CFMOTO Philippines offers a modern take with the CFMOTO Papio XO-1, now updated for 2026.

Taking the spotlight at this year’s Makina Moto Expo, the refreshed Papio XO-1 was introduced with a competitive price tag of PHP 128,900, bringing mini-bike fun to a wider audience.

According to CFMOTO, the CFMOTO Papio XO-1 retains its core platform, powered by an air-cooled 126cc engine producing 9.5 PS at 8,250 rpm and 9.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission which is also a notable feature in the sub-150cc category.

The model also stands out with premium features rarely seen in its class, including dual-channel ABS and traction control, underseat exhaust, along with a USD front fork and rear monoshock suspension. A 7-liter fuel tank supports its compact, city-friendly design.

For 2026, the Papio XO-1 gains a full fairing and updated color options, including Desert Khaki, Nebula White, and Champion Blue, which is CFMOTO’s racing livery.
