CFMOTO unveils 230Dual at Makina, SRP: PHP 99,900

Dual now in the PH

SMX Convention Center – Dual-sport motorcycles, designed for both on-road and off-road use, occupy a unique space in the motorcycle market. Manufacturers typically position them between entry-level and mid-range models, leading to a price bracket of PHP 150,000 to PHP 300,000. This higher price point reflects the bike’s enhanced versatility and ruggedness. To provide a clearer perspective, the Honda CRF 150L, a popular entry-level dual-sport, has an SRP of PHP 147,900, while the Kawasaki KLX 230, offering a much larger-capacity engine, retails for PHP 196,000, demonstrating the price variations within the dual-sport category.

Defying the established trend of pricing these versatile machines well above PHP 100,000, CFMOTO Philippines has just introduced the 230Dual at this year’s Makina Moto Expo at an unprecedentedly accessible price point, effectively shattering the existing price barrier and bringing dual-sport motorcycles within reach of a wider audience.

230Dual

Introduced in September 2024, the 230Dual is part of CFMOTO’s CFLite brand, which is the company’s rebranding of its product offerings under 400cc. It also includes dual-purpose motorcycles designed to handle a mix of on-road and off-road riding.

Designed for practical dual-sport riding, the 230Dual utilizes a simple yet effective single-cylinder, air-cooled, carbureted engine. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork, while disc brakes with dual and single-piston calipers provide braking confidence from both the front and rear tires. The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination, paired with a rear monoshock, allows for versatile handling.

A digital panel and halogen headlamp complete the essential rider interface. The most compelling aspect is its PHP 99,900 price, which significantly undercuts competitors in the same displacement category, making it a highly attractive option for budget-conscious riders.
