CFMOTO unwraps V4 superbike prototype at EICMA

V4 SR-RR prototype unveiled by CFMOTO at the 2025 EICMA

CFMOTO has ambitious plans, potentially setting its sights on MotoGP (or WorldSBK) with a homegrown superbike in the future. For now, the spotlight is on the V4 SR-RR prototype, unveiled at this year’s EICMA in Milan, Italy.

Positioned as a flagship model, the V4 SR-RR showcases CFMOTO’s commitment to combining advanced technology, aggressive design, and global competitiveness.

The prototype is powered by a 997 cc 90° V4 engine, producing a claimed 210 PS of power. With a reported weight below 200 kg, the bike achieves a striking power-to-weight ratio of 0.86 kg/hp, promising exhilarating performance both on the road and on the race track. The engine forms the heart of a platform designed to lay the groundwork for future V4-powered models, which says a lot about CFMOTO’s intention to move into the premium sport segment.

According to CFMOTO, the V4 SR-RR’s design emphasizes aerodynamics and rider performance. The sharp fairing incorporates twin LED headlights, large front wings, and NACA ducts, while a semi-active suspension system and an advanced electronic package featuring IMU, multi-mode riding, cornering ABS, and traction control aim to deliver precision and control on any road or track. CFMOTO also adds that these elements reflect a “manifesto for the future” of its sportbike lineup.

The V4 SR-RR’s debut at this year’s EICMA, following last year’s V4 engine reveal, symbolizes CFMOTO’s broader strategy of brand elevation, global expansion, and strengthened investment in research and development.

CFMOTO has not yet disclosed any production plans, pricing, or release dates for the V4 SR-RR, should the prototype eventually reach production.
